So there are many of you who loyally watch these shows and, like me, make continual comments to the television whether anyone else is in the room or not. Alternately, there are many of you who do not have the time to keep up with reality TV – there are too many shows, your tivos runneth over, you have kids and can’t remember what it’s like to watch anything beyond Dora the Explorer (you know who you are) – but you also want to be “in the know.” That’s fine. Let me help you understand.

The Voice Top 12 Elimination: Gonna Leave This World For Awhile

On tonight's elimination episode on The Voice we said goodbye to one artist, and for me it was not a huge surprise. The Stupid Twitter Save was back in full force this evening, someone named G-Eazy rapped for a few minutes, and two teams took the stage to perform mostly solid group numbers. Here are the highlights.

Team Blake collaborated on "Crippled Inside" and they all seemed to enjoy themselves. On a more somber note though, team Adam joined together to perform "Hey Jude" and dedicated the performance to Christina Grimmie. For those of you who do not recall, she was the very adorable, very talented former contestant who was killed by a shooter after one of her concerts last year. Carson also announced the start of the Christina Grimmie Foundation and Christina's family was there to witness all of this. Cue crying.

Results! Brennley was sent to safety first and she was followed by Jesse and Lauren. Vanessa, Aliyah and Lilli joined the Top 11 next, and the last names to be called were Chris, Hunter, TSoul, and Stephanie.

It all came down to Troy and Mark as they duked it out for the Stupid Twitter Save. Mark chose "When I Was Your Man" as his "save me" song, and his performance was much better than the Drake mess from last night. Troy went with "Drift Away" and it was a snoozefest. In the end, Team Gwen went down one member as Mark won over social media and Troy was sent packing.

Next week the Top 11 take the stage again and we'll see which contestants rise to the occasion. Will Team Gwen bounce back and hold on to the two remaining members? Will Mark stay out of the bottom 2? Will he at least work on his dance moves? Please? We'll find out when these artists compete again. Til then!
