So there are many of you who loyally watch these shows and, like me, make continual comments to the television whether anyone else is in the room or not. Alternately, there are many of you who do not have the time to keep up with reality TV – there are too many shows, your tivos runneth over, you have kids and can’t remember what it’s like to watch anything beyond Dora the Explorer (you know who you are) – but you also want to be “in the know.” That’s fine. Let me help you understand.

The Voice Elimination: Are you KIDDING Me?

On tonight's elimination episode...oh hell, let's just get to it.

Results! The crowd went crazy when Josh was announced "safe" first, and after a commercial break and some filler, Kristen joined him. Shakira's excitement was worth the 25 seconds it took Carson to make the announcement. Christina was deemed a semi-finalist next and Jake soon followed her. At this point all of coaches had contestants through to the next round. This put Sisaundra, Delvin, Audra and Kat in the bottom 4 (cuz we're doing that tonight) with 3 of them on the verge of being eliminated (cuz we're also doing THAT tonight).

Sisaundra sang an awesome rendition of "Natural Woman" that had me doing grunts of approval throughout the performance. Audra did "Done" by The Band Perry justice, and Kat was fantastic in her version of "Barracuda." Delvin performed last, choosing "Young Girls," but I felt like it was a woman's spot to lose by then. I was torn between Audra and Sisaundra for the Stupid Twitter Save...but it didn't matter. Kat was the recipient once again and I'm done for the night. Peace out Delvin, and best of luck to Audra and Sisaundra (really glad your mom got to see you perform).

Next week we have the semi-finals and suddenly Team Blake joins Team Usher and Team Shakira in the lone ranger category. The Now Beyond Stupid Twitter Save shouldn't be in play next week, but who knows...maybe Pharrell's hat will get to decide who makes the finals. We'll see what happens after these hopefuls take the stage again. Til then!
