During the American Idol results show tonight, the judges used their save. Was it warranted? Did someone who could win the whole thing escape elimination thanks to the wisdom of Keith, JLo and Harry? Here's how it played out...
Daughtry returned to the Idol stage tonight to sing "Waiting For Superman." I really enjoyed the performance...even after The Dawg gave the band a very painful introduction. Great song though. I haven't checked out much of the new album yet, but I definitely need to get on that.
Sam sang a decent version of "Babylon" and the judges use their save. WHAT?!?! Ben's golden voice and high energy didn't even make the tour, but the judges' save is used for a kid who lives in the bottom 3? A contestant who the judges say lacks connection EVERY week? This is the guy the competition just can't do without? Even the teenage audience with every voting apparatus on their iPhones isn't doing enough to keep Sam out of the bottom 3 each week. I'm not happy about this.
Is the confetti necessary? This isn't the finale. |
Next week the Idol Top 8 will perform again and we'll see if the damn save makes any difference at all in the voting. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that this move doesn't come back to haunt them. If we lose someone like Caleb or Jena next week because of this shake up, I will be one disgruntled viewer. We'll what happens next week. Til then!
