So there are many of you who loyally watch these shows and, like me, make continual comments to the television whether anyone else is in the room or not. Alternately, there are many of you who do not have the time to keep up with reality TV – there are too many shows, your tivos runneth over, you have kids and can’t remember what it’s like to watch anything beyond Dora the Explorer (you know who you are) – but you also want to be “in the know.” That’s fine. Let me help you understand.

X Factor Results: Thank You, America.

The X Factor will say goodbye to two people/acts during tonight’s results show, and unfortunately those individuals are not our hosts. The contestant(s) ranked dead last will be automatically eliminated, and the remaining bottom two will face the judges for a chance to be saved.
Here are the rankings:
1.       Tate Stevens (again!)
2.       Carly Rose Sonenclar (again!)
3.       Vino Alan (again!)
4.       Emblem3
5.       CeCe Fray (wow, really?)
6.       Fifth Harmony
7.       Diamond White
8.       Beatrice Miller
9.       Arin Ray

The act in the 12th spot and eliminated first this evening is Lyric 145. I scream "woohoo! thank you!" from my couch so loud I wonder if the next door neighbor will bang on the walls to shush me. The bottom two at this point are Paige Thomas and Jennel Garcia, both from Team Demi. LA and Britney both vote to send Jennel home. When Mario goes to Simon, he insists Demi vote first. Mario pretends to exert some sort of authority, but really Mario....Simon is in charge here, and Demi is going to have to cast a vote. Shut it. Not wanting to be the one to send Jennel home, Demi chooses Paige instead, leaving it up to Simon. He chooses to send Jennel home, and Paige just barely makes it into our Top 10.
I am generally okay with the results. I like Jennel, but I couldn't see her making it to the finale. And let's be honest - Demi's team has been about a Paige vs CeCe showdown this whole season, so it's appropriate that they are the two women left on her team.
Next week the Top 10 square off again, and we'll see if Brit Brit retains her four teens for another week (my guess is no). Til then!
